The Position

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The experienced Paralegal will be primarily responsible for managing third-party foreclosure sales and supporting all related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the foreclosure process, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex transactions with a high degree of accuracy. This role requires excellent mathematical skills, a knack for drafting legal documents, and the ability to navigate challenging interactions with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee third-party sales, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of foreclosure sales, including pre-sale preparations and post-sale processes.
  • Prepare and file legal documents related to foreclosure sales, such as motions, official notices, deeds, transfer/closing documents and miscellaneous correspondence
  • Conduct thorough post-sale title clearance and address any issues that arise.
  • Analyze payment histories to calculate maximum bids, final figures and manage financial aspects of transactions.
  • Organize and oversee auctions for co-op properties, ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
  • Facilitate negotiations between involved parties, including attorneys, third-party buyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage challenging interactions and maintain professional relationships with all parties involved.
  • Ability to maintain a high volume of e-mails and large caseload while meeting deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on foreclosure sales or real estate transactions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the foreclosure process and relevant legal requirements.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for calculating final figures and managing financial aspects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
