Position Overview

Sun Valley Consultation Services is currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our compassionate team. This remote position primarily focuses on providing mental health therapy at our Detox Center located in Moline, Illinois. The LCSW will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of patients by navigating their psychosocial challenges through effective therapy and support.

Work Environment

This position is full-time with the flexibility of working remotely. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations to identify barriers to treatment and develop effective intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide outpatient mental health therapy, employing individual and group modalities to help patients navigate their challenges.
  • Document all social work activities and patient progress in medical records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
  • Advocate for patients by connecting them to community resources and support services, enhancing their capacity for self-determination.
  • Provide education to patients and families to facilitate understanding and adherence to treatment recommendations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and improve clinical expertise.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role serves a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with substance abuse, mental health disorders, and the challenges associated with these conditions. You will work with clients of varying ages and cultural backgrounds, tailoring your approach to the unique needs of each individual and family system.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and current LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong understanding of human development, cultural competence, and the impact of aging processes on mental health.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to assess patient needs and document interventions effectively.
  • Adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics and commitment to providing respectful and ethical care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting, with a preference for experience in substance use treatment.
  • Familiarity with community resources and advocacy systems that support patient recovery and social service needs.
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
