Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations to understand the challenges faced by patients and their families, identifying barriers to treatment and collaborating on solutions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, both individually and in group settings, to facilitate healing and growth.
  • Offer ongoing consultation and support to medical staff regarding patients’ psychosocial needs, ensuring a holistic approach to care delivery.
  • Document all interactions and therapeutic interventions in accordance with departmental standards while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in patient and family education to promote understanding of the treatment process, psychosocial issues, and available resources for recovery.
  • Identify advocacy opportunities and coordinate community resources to enhance patient support systems and promote their self-determination.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and legal regulations affecting social work practices.
  • Regularly participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing mental health issues related to trauma, chronic illness, and socio-economic challenges. Our patients come from various backgrounds, and as such, cultural competency and sensitivity are critical for effective service delivery. You will empower patients to explore their issues within safe and supportive therapeutic relationships, guiding them toward improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation in the State of Illinois. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ethical integrity, and the capacity to empathize with patients from all walks of life.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with at least six months to one year of experience in clinical settings, particularly those that emphasize adult mental health or vulnerable populations, are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based therapeutic approaches is highly valued.
