Remote Political Action Committee Pac information

What is a remote Political Action Committee (PAC)?

A Remote Political Action Committee (PAC) is an organization that operates primarily online to raise and distribute funds in support of political candidates, parties, or causes, often without a centralized physical office. These PACs leverage digital tools for fundraising, organizing, and campaigning, enabling collaboration among team members who work from various locations. Their remote structure allows for greater flexibility and can reduce overhead costs while still effectively influencing elections and public policy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Political Action Committee (PAC) manager?

To thrive as a Political Action Committee (PAC) Manager, you need expertise in fundraising, campaign finance regulations, and advocacy, typically supported by a degree in political science, public policy, or related fields. Familiarity with donor management software, compliance reporting tools, and digital communication platforms is crucial. Strong organizational abilities, persuasive communication, and relationship-building skills help a PAC Manager stand out. These skills ensure the PAC operates legally, raises necessary funds, and effectively advances its political objectives.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in a remote Political Action Committee (PAC) role, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals working remotely for a Political Action Committee often encounter challenges related to communication and coordination, since much of the work involves collaborating with team members, donors, and stakeholders across various locations. Maintaining effective communication through scheduled video conferences, regular updates, and collaboration tools is essential. Additionally, staying compliant with campaign finance laws and deadlines can be demanding, so utilizing reliable project management software and compliance tracking tools can help ensure accuracy and accountability. Building relationships remotely also requires proactive outreach and networking to keep engagement high, both within the team and with external partners.

VP of Strategic Partnerships

Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs

Location: Pennsylvania โ€” Harrisburg, Philadelphia, or Pittsburgh (Hybrid/Remote in PA)

Job Type: Full-time

Reports To: President & CEO

Travel: Regular travel within Pennsylvania; occasional national travel as needed

Compensation: Contingent on specific skills and experience

About Commonwealth Partners

Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs is a membership association that engages entrepreneurs to lead free-market political and policy change in Pennsylvania. Now in its 10th year of operations, the organization brings together business leaders and entrepreneurs who believe in economic freedom, constitutional government, and the power of principled leadership to shape public life โ€” with the goal of building a stronger Pennsylvania.

About the Opportunity

The VP of Strategic Partnerships is a major-gifts officer role that reports directly to the President & CEO. The person in this seat will own a portfolio of current and prospective members and donors, develop and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies, and partner closely with the CEO on relationship strategy and meeting preparation. Commonwealth Partners is a 501c6 with a full suite of affiliated operations including a 501c3, 501c4, state political action committees, and a federal Super PAC.

In our experience working with Commonwealth Partners, the candidates who thrive here are relationship builders with real discipline โ€” people who are comfortable in the room with high-capacity entrepreneurs and executives, who can build trust quickly, and who enjoy bringing order and follow-through to a portfolio with a lot of moving pieces. This role can grow along with the organization over time and may open pathways into broader development responsibility.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of current and prospective major donors and members.
  • Develop and implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for assigned relationships.
  • Conduct outreach, schedule meetings, and maintain regular contact with donors, members, and prospects.
  • Partner with the President & CEO on relationship strategy and meeting preparation.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective new members and donors in Pennsylvania and beyond.
  • Prepare proposals, talking points, meeting materials, and follow-up communications as needed.
  • Make or support well-planned and timely asks for philanthropic and membership support.
  • Maintain accurate records of relationship activity, strategy, and next steps in a CRM.
  • Support events, meetings, and other donor- and member-facing activities.
  • Help grow support for Commonwealth Partners and, where appropriate, its connected political action committees.

    What Weโ€™re Looking For

    Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in fundraising, major gifts, membership development, business development, or a related external-facing role.
  • Demonstrated success managing relationships and producing revenue or growth outcomes.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with high-capacity individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing a portfolio with multiple moving priorities.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and maturity.
  • Alignment with Commonwealth Partnersโ€™ mission and values.

    Preferred

  • Experience in major gifts fundraising or high-touch membership development.
  • Familiarity with entrepreneurs, business leaders, advocacy organizations, public policy, or political environments.
  • Experience partnering with a senior executive or principal on donor-facing work.
  • Experience with CRM systems.

    How We Work

Commonwealth Partners is a small team, and this role is for someone who likes building order out of complexity. You will thrive here if you enjoy being useful, reliable, and ahead of the next step. The job rewards initiative, judgment, clear communication, and disciplined execution. The best person for this role is motivated by advancing important work and building genuine, long-term relationships that strengthen the organization.

    Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary contingent on specific skills and experience โ€” Commonwealth Partners values and rewards excellence.
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off.
  • $700 monthly healthcare stipend.
  • 401(k) match up to 4%.
  • Short-term and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Office parking.
  • Mobile phone and travel reimbursements.

    How to Apply

Interested candidates should reach out directly to Chaz Cirame at Big Fish Recruiting: chaz@recruitbigfish.com or apply at recruitbigfish.com/CP_VP_Partnerships

Please include a brief note on your interest in the role, your relevant background, and any compensation expectations.
