Job description

Our client is seeking a Platform Engineer to help design, build, and maintain internal platforms that empower engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and reliably. You'll work on infrastructure and tooling that supports large-scale, high-traffic systems, providing automation, APIs, and workflows that make engineering best practices seamless. This is a fully remote position.
Platform Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain internal developer platforms, services, and automation tools that simplify engineering workflows.
  • Implement infrastructure and deployment systems using a code-first approach, including CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, and orchestration tools.
  • Build, operate, and enhance cloud and Kubernetes platform capabilities, focusing on automation, consistency, and safety.
  • Monitor and improve platform reliability through observability, metrics, and standards that drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify friction points and convert them into reusable, scalable platform solutions.
Platform Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong software engineering experience in one or more languages: Python, Go, Java, Rust, or .NET, including debugging and optimizing production systems.
  • Experience designing, building, or supporting distributed systems at scale, ideally in Kubernetes environments.
