Location: Florida / Remote

Position Summary:

Trulieve seeks a Platform Engineer to build, automate, and operate the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that power our enterprise. This is a hands-on role centered on cloud engineering and DevOps, with the engineer owning infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platforms. The role also includes server support and contributing to our observability and monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate is a builder who treats infrastructure as code, eliminates toil through automation, and partners with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ship resilient systems quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps & Automation:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment across infrastructure and applications.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration management, and routine operational tasks to reduce manual effort and human error.
  • Collaborate with development teams in an integrated DevOps model to enable rapid, reliable releases.

Server Support & Operations:

  • Administer, patch, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux/UNIX server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Manage system security, backups, and disaster recovery, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Provide escalation support for infrastructure and operational issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing durable fixes.
  • Build dashboards and tune alerting to support visibility into platform health and faster incident response.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with IT, security, and application teams to define and document policies, procedures, run books, and system standards.
  • Mentor peers on automation, cloud, and DevOps best practices.

Cloud Engineering:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure), including compute, storage, networking, and identity, with a focus on scalability, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Implement cloud-native and hybrid solutions using infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent) to ensure repeatable, version-controlled provisioning.
  • Optimize cloud spend and performance, right-sizing resources and recommending architectural improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, systems administration, or a closely related infrastructure role.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure); multi-cloud experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience administering both Windows Server and Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Working knowledge of networking, security best practices (IAM, encryption, segmentation), and enterprise storage.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling such as Splunk, OpenSearch, and New Relic.
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in a team and independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers and vendors.

Work Schedule:

  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation and to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
