About Us

The Senior Manager, HROC Digital Solutions & Innovation leads digitalization and innovation initiatives within the North American Heidelberg Materials Remote Optimization Center (HROC). This role partners with operations, engineering, data science, and Group Digital teams to enhance operational performance through advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, innovation programs, and technology adoption.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the identification, prioritization, deployment, and scaling of digital solutions that improve HROC services and plant performance.

  • Drive the adoption of AI, advanced analytics, automation, digital twins, and decision-support tools to address operational challenges and create measurable business value.

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for HROC data science resources, overseeing the analytics project portfolio and driving data-driven operational improvements.

  • Partner with HROC operations, engineering, CCC subject matter experts, Group Digital teams, and external technology providers to deliver performance improvements and technology adoption.

  • Champion innovation by managing SparkHub, facilitating Discovery Sessions and Innovation Jams, and maintaining an innovation pipeline aligned with business priorities.

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement innovative solutions that support continuous improvement, digital transformation, and plant performance optimization.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

  • Proven experience leading analytics, machine learning, or AI initiatives from ideation through production deployment.

  • Strong understanding of Data Science methodologies, model development lifecycles, feature engineering, model evaluation, and operationalization.

  • Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Azure AI services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud-native AI environments preferred.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, process industry, heavy industrial, remote operations, or similar operational environments is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role with regular collaboration across HROC, plant operations, engineering, data science, and corporate teams.

  • Frequent interaction with internal stakeholders and external technology providers to support innovation and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support operations, project implementation, technology deployment, and innovation activities.
