Location: Arizona (Remote with occasional travel to job sites and meetings)

Infierno Custom Steel LLC is a growing steel fabrication and installation company specializing in commercial and residential fencing, gates, railings, miscellaneous metals, structural steel, and custom fabrication. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Steel Estimator who wants to grow with our company and become a key part of our long-term success.

About the Role

As our Steel Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in helping us win profitable work by preparing accurate estimates, reviewing plans, and supporting our bidding process. You’ll work directly with the owner and have the opportunity to grow into a full-time leadership position as the company expands.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural and structural drawings.
  • Perform accurate material takeoffs.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain material pricing.
  • Review project specifications and bid documents.
  • Attend job site meetings, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs as needed.
  • Communicate directly with ownership throughout the estimating process.
  • Help build and maintain a strong pipeline of profitable work.

Qualifications

  • Experience estimating structural steel, miscellaneous metals, ornamental iron, fencing, gates, or custom steel fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, STACK, PlanSwift, Excel, or similar estimating software is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

Compensation

We’re flexible and looking for the right long-term fit.

  • Part-time (10–15 hours per week to start)
  • $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Performance bonus or commission on projects you estimate that are successfully awarded.
