Work Environment

This position is based in Piscataway, New Jersey, but is performed remotely, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from your preferred environment. Our outpatient counseling center operates with a commitment to flexibility, hosting individual and group therapy sessions that cater to the varied needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop comprehensive evaluation reports to formulate tailored treatment plans for clients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Utilize an array of therapeutic modalities—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy—to effectively address client needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide holistic care and coordinated support.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with ethical standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on current mental health research, best practices, and attending relevant workshops and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Gotham Enterprises, you will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with trauma, substance abuse issues, family dynamics, and relationship challenges. This role is pivotal in helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve measurable improvements in mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations within the counseling practice.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect and build therapeutic relationships with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently, exhibiting strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and billing processes.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as trauma therapy, substance use counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience working within outpatient settings and familiarity with telehealth practices.

Compensation and Benefits
