Chaska is known for its small-town feel, friendly atmosphere, and high quality of life, while still offering convenient access to the greater Twin Cities metro. The community also offers extensive outdoor amenities, including more than 100 miles of trails and 578 acres of city-owned parks, making it an attractive place to live and work.
Allina Health provides a broad continuum of mental health and addiction services, including partial hospitalization, outpatient care, specialty programs, and integrated behavioral health services.

Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an adult psychiatrist who wants more than a traditional clinic-only model. In this role, you will practice across two meaningful levels of care-supporting patients in a partial hospitalization program while also building continuity in the outpatient setting.
This combination offers the chance to stay engaged in higher-acuity, team-based psychiatric care while also developing longer-term therapeutic relationships.
For many physicians, one of the most attractive features of this opportunity is the no-call schedule. It is well suited for a psychiatrist seeking strong professional fulfillment alongside greater predictability and work-life balance.

This position is especially appealing to psychiatrists seeking:
  • A no-call psychiatry role
  • A balanced blend of PHP and outpatient practice
  • Team support including nurses, therapists, social workers and operations support
  • Practice in a community with trails, parks, recreation, and southwest metro convenience
  • The opportunity to join a mission-driven health system with broad behavioral health resources

Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide adult psychiatric care in a hospital-based hybrid practice model
  • Provide psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing follow-up for PHP patients
  • Deliver outpatient psychiatric care in a continuity-based clinic setting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members across behavioral health settings
  • Support effective care transitions across levels of service, as clinically appropriate
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  • Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care delivery
