Job description

Temporary Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing
Manager: Director of Marketing
Classification: Non-exempt | Temporary
About Navigate
At Navigate, we are a well-tech company helping organizations create more health and happiness in the employees, clients, and communities we serve. Our purpose is simple: Do Good Things. These words are more than a mantra — they are the guiding principle behind every decision we make. Together, we are redefining what it means to build a culture of wellbeing and clinical impact.

How You Contribute to Our Success
Navigate is seeking a Graphic Designer to provide support of a temporary business need. This is a temporary position working full-time hours expected to begin in September 2026 and continue through approximately end of January 2027. The assignment is intended to support a temporary business need and is expected to conclude around that time, although the duration may be adjusted based on business needs.
This is a production-focused, request-driven role. The primary responsibility is managing and fulfilling a steady volume of promotional material requests submitted by our Client Success Managers (CSMs), who rely on these materials to support our clients' wellbeing programs.
The majority of the work centers on editing and modifying existing templates in Adobe InDesign rather than developing original creative concepts. The ideal candidate will receive incoming requests, complete the required edits, ask clarifying questions to ensure accuracy, and deliver polished collateral on time. Strong proficiency in InDesign, clear communication, and a consistent ability to meet deadlines are essential to success in this position.
This role is embedded in the Marketing team and collaborates closely with CSMs and other cross-functional partners. The position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality materials that meet the needs of our CSMs, maintain an organized and moving request queue during our peak season, and communicate proactively at every stage of the process. Candidates are not expected to have mastery of every aspect of graphic design; however, demonstrated confidence in InDesign, strong organizational skills, and reliability under deadline pressure are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and fulfill a high volume of promotional material requests from Client Success Managers (CSMs) in support of our clients' wellbeing programs
  • Edit and modify existing templates in Adobe InDesign to produce print and digital collateral
  • Uphold Navigate's brand guidelines consistently across all delivered materials
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with request submitters, ask clarifying questions, and follow up in a timely manner
  • Track and manage an incoming request queue to ensure materials are delivered accurately and on schedule
  • Meet deadlines consistently, with particular attention to throughput during peak request periods
  • Develop a working understanding of Navigate's customers, products, and program materials
  • Learn and utilize the systems and processes that support the marketing function
  • Maintain quality control standards through organized tracking and review practices
  • Contribute to team success by adapting to shifting priorities and demonstrating a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach

The Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe InDesign, with particular experience editing and modifying existing design templates
  • Solid working knowledge of graphic design principles, including typography, color, and layout consistency
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent requests without compromising quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask targeted clarifying questions and provide timely updates
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • Receptive to feedback and direction, with a professional and collaborative working style

The Navigate Way – Core Expectations

  • Deliver the Boom
  • Everybody Love Everybody
  • We Are Family
  • Inspire & Innovate
  • Embrace Change
  • Growth is Great

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ years of design or production experience within an agency, in-house team, or related environment, supported by a portfolio or work samples demonstrating template-based production
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Required Software Proficiency
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred but not required
  • HTML
  • Jira, Highspot, and Microsoft Teams

Working Environment
  • Normal mental and visual attention is required. Normal office working conditions requiring continuous use of both hands. Sitting most of the time; may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Position requires occasional bending, squatting, twisting, and climbing stairs. There are minimal exposures to workplace hazards.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform the essential functions.
  • Position is available for remote workers.
