Job Description:
Reason for Need:
Expansion of ADI release support. These architects will serve as release-level architectural owners to support parallel initiatives. Bandwidth and governance coverage are the primary drivers, not a technology gap.

Heavy involvement in release planning, engineering forums, and cloud architecture decision-making. May provide targeted hands-on support in Azure dev environment buildouts (including ESRI-related initiatives), but primary focus is ownership and oversight.
POSITION CONCEPT:
Serve as the release-level Cloud Architecture SME, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed Azure implementations across ADI initiatives. Provide architectural leadership, decision authority, and cross-functional alignment rather than acting as a primary builder.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Collaborates with ADI, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Release teams.
Key External: May coordinate with SaaS vendors and cloud solution providers as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 7+ years in cloud architecture

Strong stakeholder communication and architectural decision leadership
Experience supporting Dev/Test environment design
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA) Required:
Strong understanding of Azure architecture best practices

Multi-cloud exposure (AWS secondary)
Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/ARM/Terraform) familiarity
Prior utility or regulated industry experience
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Equivalent experience acceptable

Serve as architectural owner for assigned release(s)
Participate in release planning and cross-functional working sessions
Provide Azure design guidance and governance oversight
Ensure adherence to cloud best practices and enterprise standards
Review architecture decisions and guide implementation teams
Support cloud environment buildouts and integration discussions
