• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the frequency, intensity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies as necessary, and maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment approaches.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to bolster skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and support their journey to recovery.

You will primarily work with diverse clients dealing with mood disorders, encompassing a wide range of ages and backgrounds. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment. • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental philosophy toward clients’ struggles.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills for managing a diverse caseload efficiently.

• Experience using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Proven ability to work with clients across various settings and demographics.
• Background in addiction counseling or experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders.

• Annual salary between $90,000 and $100,000 based on qualifications and experience.
