Job description

Aon is looking for Pharmacy Consultant and Senior Pharmacy Consultant 

The Pharmacy Consulting SME provides pharmacy strategy, financial and clinical consulting for self-insured employers across all industry segments and sizes. The consultant in this role would be expected to support project management, creation of meeting materials, to present at meetings and lead certain strategic initiatives.

This role will support clients across the country and may require some travel. Remote working may be considered.

Expectations of the Role:

  • Support a team of trusted advisors delivery strategic solutions to employers on how to best manage their pharmacy benefits. Responsibilities may include:
    • Managing a log of deliverables and due-dates for projects
    • Following up with vendors to ensure timely completion of requests;
    • Supporting the development of materials to explain and/or analyze different pharmacy strategies
    • Reviewing responses to questions for completeness and accuracy
  • Interaction with clients and vendors
  • Ability to articulate findings and results to clients
  • Experience running Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) request for proposals (RFP) on behalf of clients is a plus, but not required
  • Basic understanding of PBM contracts is a plus
  • Ability to learn how the PBM industry interacts with our clients by actively participating in trainings and asking effective questions

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects with similar deadlines 
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% to 20% of the time

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000 - $135,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
