Job description

About the Role
Teramind is seeking a Data Analyst to own business intelligence reporting and analytics as our business scales rapidly. This role transforms raw data into clear, dynamic reporting that drives decision-making across the company, and partners directly with stakeholders to answer their most important questions. Sitting on a small, high-leverage data team within our Google Cloud environment, the Data Analyst will own our Looker reporting layer end to end and work in the same modern data stack - BigQuery, dbt, SQL, and Python - that powers our data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
  • BI Reporting and Ownership: Design, build, and maintain compelling, dynamic reporting in Looker that provides insight and visibility across the entire company. Own our LookML models, explores, and dashboards.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work directly with business and operational stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to gather requirements, answer complex questions, and deliver reporting that supports evolving operational strategies.
  • Data Transformation: Write clean, performant SQL and build and maintain data models in dbt to turn raw data into reliable, well-structured reporting datasets.
  • Data Quality and Documentation: Implement quality checks and clear documentation so that reporting is accurate, consistent, and trusted across the organization.
  • Analysis and Insight: Analyze large, complex datasets, find creative solutions to difficult problems, and provide solid recommendations to leadership.
  • Growth into Engineering: As skills and business needs develop, take on data engineering work including pipeline development, workflow orchestration (Airflow / Cloud Composer), and data integrations across internal and external systems.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst, BI, or analytics engineering role.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, and data modeling.
  • Working proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation.
  • Experience building reporting and dashboards in a BI tool; Looker preferred.
  • Experience with a cloud data platform; GCP preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter who takes strong ownership, solves problems independently, and knows when to pull in subject-matter experts to move faster.
  • Confident making bold, well-reasoned decisions and backing them up with data.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and modern data tooling to work faster, prototype solutions, and improve output quality.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery specifically.
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Airbyte.
  • Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows (Git, pull requests).
  • Experience working with go-to-market or business systems data such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and data integration via APIs.
