Salary Range: $85,000-$120,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a specialty in Shipping to join our team. This role is remote, but requires approximately 25% travel for site visits, carrier meetings, inspections, and operational coordination.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in domestic and international shipping operations, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can manage complex logistics challenges with confidence and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize daily shipping operations for petroleum products and related materials.
  • Coordinate freight scheduling, carrier selection, and shipment tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international shipping regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and safety records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast shipping needs and maintain inventory flow.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Travel to facilities, ports, carrier offices, and operational sites as needed (approx. 25%).
  • Resolve shipping delays, discrepancies, and operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of logistics management experience with a strong focus on shipping operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Petroleum, chemical, or industrial supply chain experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and shipment tracking systems.
  • Comfortable with remote work and periodic travel.
