Job description

Position Overview

Elmira Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team, providing essential mental health care remotely. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting adults, children, and families in achieving their mental health goals in a comprehensive and sensitive manner.

About the Organization

Elmira Counseling Services is a reputable outpatient mental health practice located in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse client base. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our community by offering a full range of services, including therapy, psychopharmacological care, and clinical research. We collaborate closely with Comprehensive Psychiatric Care to create a comprehensive care continuum, ensuring collaborative leadership and shared values. Our focus is on creating a supportive environment where our clients and team members can thrive.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, designed to provide flexibility to our clinicians while ensuring they deliver high-quality care. You will be working from home, which allows for a healthy work-life balance. We foster a culture of innovation and professionalism, supporting our clinicians in managing their caseloads effectively while maintaining personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients by establishing rapport and fostering positive, professional relationships.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess progress, address concerns, and plan for future sessions or discharges as appropriate.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, implementing therapeutic interventions to guide their healing journey.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress notes in accordance with ethical and organizational standards.
  • Perform intake assessments to gather detailed information on clientsโ€™ backgrounds and mental health needs.
  • Engage in individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and professional development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for all clients.
  • Promote a growth mindset, continually seeking opportunities to learn and adapt in your professional practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health support to a diverse outpatient population that includes both children and adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. This role requires sensitivity and a keen understanding of individual lived experiences, aiming to provide care that empowers clients and fosters personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
  • Current, active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credentials, permitting independent practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build client rapport and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
  • Proficient in using digital tools including Excel, RMS systems, and Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing therapy in a clinical outpatient setting following graduation.
  • Proven experience conducting effective intake assessments and delivering individual psychotherapy sessions to both individuals and families.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000, based on experience and productivity. We operate on a Fee-for-Service model that guarantees pay before collections, alleviating financial stress associated with delayed reimbursement.

  • Comprehensive health benefits including Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance options.
  • Employee contributions to a 401k retirement plan.
  • Coverage for malpractice insurance provided to clinicians.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support personal and professional challenges.
  • In-house cross-training opportunities to enhance your skill set.
  • Opportunity to earn free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) focused on various mental health topics.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Elmira Counseling Services, we are committed to your professional development. As part of a clinician-led leadership structure, you will have opportunities to advance your career, take on new responsibilities, and engage in ongoing training sessions designed to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
