Corporate Compliance Manager
Position Summary

We are a growing, multi-unit franchise organization seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Corporate Compliance Manager to join our team in a remote position.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across multiple states and operating entities.

Key ResponsibilitiesHR & Employment Compliance
  • Manage and track federal, state, and local employment-related compliance filings, reporting requirements, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Coordinate required employment-related government and regulatory filings across multiple states.
  • Assist with government agency inquiries, audits, notices, and requests for information.
  • Maintain compliance calendars and ensure required filings and responses are completed accurately and on time.
  • Identify potential compliance gaps and recommend appropriate next steps.
Corporate Compliance & Governance
  • Manage corporate filings, annual reports, registrations, renewals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain corporate records, entity documentation, resolutions, and ownership records.
  • Coordinate entity formations, foreign qualifications, certificates of good standing, and other corporate requirements.
  • Maintain compliance calendars and track critical filing and renewal deadlines.
Licensing & Permitting
  • Manage business licenses, health and fire permits, certificates of occupancy, sign permits, and other operational licensing requirements.
  • Track renewals and ensure licenses and permits remain current across all locations.
  • Communicate with state and local agencies regarding applications, renewals, and regulatory requirements.
Commercial Lease & Property Administration
  • Manage and track commercial leases, amendments, renewals, and related documentation.
  • Monitor lease expirations, renewal options, rent increases, notice requirements, and other critical dates.
  • Coordinate lease-related matters with landlords, property managers, and internal leadership.
  • Manage property tax assessments, documentation, reconciliations, and appeals in coordination with landlords and outside consultants.
Acquisitions & Corporate Support
  • Support compliance and due diligence for acquisitions and new locations.
  • Coordinate required entity registrations, licenses, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Organize transaction and closing documentation.
  • Assist with integrating newly acquired locations into company compliance processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Compliance, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of corporate, regulatory, or compliance experience.
  • Multi-state compliance experience strongly preferred.
  • Franchise, restaurant, retail, or multi-unit experience is a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory filings, licensing, permitting, corporate records, and compliance tracking.
  • Commercial lease administration and acquisition experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with government agencies, landlords, consultants, outside counsel, HR, and company leadership.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
