We offer a flexible work schedule, including day, evening, and weekend shifts based on the demands of the detox program and staffing requirements. Potential on-call responsibilities may arise, offering you the ability to provide crucial support at critical times.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to address patients' emotional, social, and financial needs.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on coping strategies related to adjustment, grief, and crisis management.
• Engage with community organizations to coordinate post-discharge services, ensuring that patients have access to necessary support and resources.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment options, promoting informed decision-making and enhancing their engagement in care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, offering insights related to social work that contribute to improving patient outcomes and holistic care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient interactions and interventions, consistent with hospital policies and legal standards.
• Develop and implement patient discharge plans, facilitating connections to external resources critical for ongoing recovery and well-being.

As an LCSW in the detox center, you will work primarily with patients experiencing substance use disorders. This compassionate role necessitates a deep understanding of the various psychosocial challenges these individuals face and the advocacy skills needed to help them navigate the complexities of recovery. Building rapport with patients and providing a safe space for discussions around sensitive issues will be fundamental to your practice.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland.

• At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly related to addiction treatment or mental health interventions.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, mental health issues, and effective crisis intervention strategies.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and professional qualifications. In addition, you will be eligible for a sign-on bonus as we recognize the value that experienced professionals bring to our team.
