• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to gather insights on patients' emotional, social, and financial circumstances.
• Provide individual and group counseling tailored to various challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with pediatricians and specialists to create integrated care plans that address both physical and mental health needs.
• Coordinate post-discharge services with community agencies, ensuring continuity of care and patient support beyond the medical facility.
• Participate actively in telehealth meetings and virtual workshops to improve patient outcomes and share best practices.
• Document patient interactions and care plans accurately, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.
• Serve on virtual committees to offer your expertise in social work, contributing to policy development and institutional quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring immediate support for patients in distress or facing urgent psychological challenges.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse pediatric population, addressing the multifaceted needs of children and adolescents in various settings. This includes working with patients overcoming emotional challenges related to chronic illnesses, family dynamics, and socio-economic factors affecting their overall health. • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated understanding of social work ethics, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in telehealth contexts.
• Capacity to utilize empathetic approaches to counseling and support.

• A minimum of two years in a healthcare setting, particularly working with pediatric populations.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, mental health diagnoses, and crisis intervention protocols.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Familiarity with virtual healthcare systems and documentation software.
