Director of Business Development - Unlock Your Sales Potential!

As the Director of Business Development, you'll play a pivotal role in our success. This individual contributor position requires a strategic thinker to identify sales targets, craft effective strategies, and close deals. Your focus will be on capturing pharmacy benefit management business from brokers, TPA's, captives, and employer groups. We're looking for a candidate with a proven track record of sales excellence, relationship-building prowess, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

This position is 100% work remote with expectations of in- office as needed for meetings and trainings.

What You’ll Do:

  • Target Identification: Research and identify potential sales targets within your assigned territory.
  • Networking: Consistently network and outreach to accounts, establishing strong connections.
  • Consultative Sales: Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and overcome potential barriers.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to formulate short and long-term sales action plans.
  • Reporting: Maintain necessary sales reports and logs, keeping management informed and engaged.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend educational meetings, seminars, and networking events to stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Travel: Embrace occasional evening and weekend travel for events, demonstrating commitment to our goals.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training.
  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of outside B2B or medical sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance Insight: Previous PBM insurance sales experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: PBM industry knowledge and/or established relationships within the field.
