Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the Social Work Manager to evaluate and address a wide range of psychosocial issues impacting students, utilizing your clinical social work expertise to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Adhere to professional social work standards as outlined by the NASW Code of Ethics, ensuring that patient care is delivered with the utmost respect and integrity.
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments that identify barriers to treatment and enhance students’ health status, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, facilitating a coordinated approach to treatment that fosters better compliance and improved patient outcomes.
  • Implement and evaluate treatment interventions, both individually and in group settings, while adjusting therapeutic strategies based on ongoing assessments of student progress.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of social work activities in patient medical records in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Provide educational resources and coaching to students and families, helping them understand and follow social work and medical recommendations aimed at restoring optimum functioning.
  • Assess the advocacy needs of students and their families, connecting them with community resources that encourage self-determination and enhance social support networks.

Qualifications
