Job Title: Contract Recruiter - Research & Academic Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter for a long-term remote position to support high-volume hiring across multiple research and academic medicine departments. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced settings, enjoy collaborating with physicians, researchers, and department leaders, and have a background in healthcare, academic medicine, or research institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full-cycle recruiting process from intake through offer acceptance.
  • Support a portfolio of departments and serve as a trusted recruiting partner to hiring managers and leadership.
  • Recruit for a variety of research, scientific, administrative, and professional-level positions.
  • Maintain strong communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract passive and active talent.
  • Manage fluctuating requisition volumes, with peak workloads ranging from 30-60 active requisitions.
  • Drive recruitment efforts with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Provide market insight and consultative guidance to hiring leaders.

Essential Skills

  • 5-8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting within academic medical centers, research hospitals, healthcare systems, universities, or scientific/research-driven organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage high requisition volumes.
  • Experience partnering with physicians, principal investigators, researchers, or senior leadership.
  • Strong sourcing, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This role is 100% remote, ideally with the candidate being local enough to travel to Boston 1-2 times per quarter. The recruiter will support hiring across departments such as Hematology/Oncology, Molecular Medicine, Pathology, Radiology, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Anesthesiology, Otolaryngology/Audiology, and translational and research-focused programs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
