This full-time role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still being integrated into the school environment. You will collaborate closely with educators, school counselors, and other healthcare professionals to create a supportive framework for students. Your expertise as an LCSW will contribute to a nurturing environment where students can thrive and successfully transition back into their daily activities.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments utilizing interviews, observations, and medical record reviews to identify factors affecting student recovery and emotional stability.
• Provide individual and family counseling focused on coping strategies, adjustment issues, and other social-emotional challenges experienced by students.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to co-develop individualized treatment plans that specifically address the psychosocial needs of students.
• Guide students in accessing vital community resources, such as support groups, vocational rehabilitation services, and housing assistance to facilitate their recovery and reintegration.
• Educate patients and their families about available community resources and post-rehabilitation services that can aid their transition.
• Participate actively in discharge planning, ensuring comprehensive support as students move from rehabilitation settings back to home or school environments.

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges in the context of rehabilitation. Typically, students referred may have faced physical injuries, neurological disorders, or other personal circumstances that require holistic support. Your work will aim to empower these young individuals, promoting their resilience and ability to engage fully in educational settings.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
• Strong understanding of psychosocial dynamics, emotional adjustment, grief counseling, and coping strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Previous experience working within a rehabilitation or medical setting, particularly with children or adolescents is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with the educational system and previous collaboration with school-based professionals is advantageous.

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus.
