POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Project Systems Analyst serves as a technical and analytical lead for development projects geared towards our statewide enterprise court case management system, AJACS. This role is responsible for understanding business needs, assessing current and future system capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-designed technology solutions, for assigned projects. The position leads business and systems analysis activities, develops detailed requirements when needed, detailed technical design specifications, and ensures system integrity, data quality, and quality assurance of the product across our Dev, Test, and Production environment.

The Senior Project Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Statewide Court Case Management System by collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA staff. Primary responsibilities include analyzing assigned business functions, preparing data panel and business logic specifications, and documentation of the system design that supports the business needs. This role presents verbal reviews of deliverables and documentation for accuracy and clarity, ensuring alignment with system objectives, requirements, and QA standards.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science, IT, software engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in software design, business analysis, business research/technical reporting, data analysis using SQL or similar responsibilities. Additional relevant experience may substitute for education. This position requires the ability to quickly and effectively analyze problems and implement and/or advise of solutions, use formal systems analysis methodologies to analyze business problems and develop appropriate functional and technical solution specifications, prioritize and meet deadlines, and organize, conduct and prioritize multiple on-going tasks.

The preferred candidate will have strong analytical skills, ability to create complex SQL queries to analyze data, strong presentation skills, and ability to create concise design documentation. Knowledge of work item tracking using AZURE Dev Ops, as well as experience working in both a web and windows client-based .NET / SQL environment.
