Middletown Township Public Schools is looking for qualified paraprofessionals to serve as facilitators in a classroom where students will be participating in virtual learning.
Paraprofessional Facilitators for Virtual Learning Classrooms
Positions Available: 9/1/2026 - 6/30/2027
Qualifications *
  • Must have current assignment as a paraprofessional at HS South or HS North OR be available at the required time
  • NJ Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Familiarity or prior experience with Latin preferred
  • Experience working with students with various disabilities and academic levels within one classroom preferred
  • CPI training/certification preferred
  • Experience with students who have behavioral and/or social emotional disabilities preferred
  • Additional paid training may be required

*Paraprofessionals who were hired and have been continuously employed with MTPS as of June 2005 and passed the in-district paraprofessional assessment are not required to meet the qualifications above.
Responsibilities
  • Establish exemplary classroom structure and routines
  • Support students in thriving in a digital learning environment
  • Regular communication (email and phone) with Latin Teacher
  • Facilitate grade input from online system to district grading system
  • Management of student behavior during online class sessions
  • Troubleshoot basic technology support as needed
  • Manage updates to student enrollments
  • Facilitate individual instruction as per virtual teacher's direction
  • Provide organizational and instructional support for students as appropriate
  • Redirect and focus students attention during instruction and classwork

Hours of Assignment: Up to 4 hours per week, 11:20am - 12:40pm on alternating days
Hourly Rate:
  • Facilitator rate: $40.41/hour for the time spent in the classroom
