As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Active Life Psychiatric Center, you will engage in a variety of essential responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including pre-crisis plans and crisis intervention strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records in accordance with regulatory standards, facilitating comprehensive care and client tracking.
• Implement evidence-based screening tools, collaborating with the clinical team to enhance patient engagement and therapy outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to create and enforce positive behavior support plans and treatment interventions.
• Actively participate in all licensing and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and external service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate integrated care.
• Foster open lines of communication with various stakeholders, promoting Active Life's mission and contributing to community health initiatives.
• Establish relationships with local, state, and federal resources to identify partnership opportunities, funding sources, and program development prospects.
• Engage in continued education to elevate your practice, including attending conferences and trainings relevant to behavioral health.
• Contribute to the promotion and adoption of the agency’s mission, values, and best practices in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director that align with your skills and our organizational goals.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges. This includes individuals dealing with emotional distress, substance use issues, developmental disabilities, and those recovering from brain injuries. Your expertise will play an integral role in guiding clients through their recovery journeys while fostering mental wellness and stability.

The ideal candidate for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field.
• A valid LMHC License issued by the state board.
• Strong capabilities in maintaining clinical records and preparing comprehensive reports for regulatory compliance.
• The ability to work harmoniously within an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on effective self-expression and idea-sharing.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills rooted in professional knowledge and ethics.
