This remote position allows our LCSW to work in a flexible environment while collaborating with school staff, parents, and community resources. Although the role primarily focuses on remote work, our social worker will engage with students and families using virtual platforms, ensuring they receive personalized and responsive mental health services. • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments tailored to the unique needs of each student, identifying mental health, substance use, and social determinants of health affecting their schooling and overall life.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, which includes facilitating therapy techniques, crisis intervention strategies, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Examples include conducting guidance sessions on emotional regulation, building resilience, or managing anxiety during exams.
• Generate and maintain accurate electronic documentation including mental health evaluations, progress notes, session summaries, and risk assessments as part of our digital record-keeping system, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Serve as a liaison for students and families, connecting them with local resources and community agencies for additional support, such as medication assistance programs and specialized treatment options.
• Collaborate with Quality Improvement teams to implement effective data collection processes, measuring outcomes and enhancing service delivery to positively impact student mental health.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families. This role involves understanding the diverse cultural backgrounds and unique challenges faced by students, including socio-economic factors that may influence their mental health. As an LCSW at Thrive, you will take a holistic approach to support, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental health with academic and social performance.

• Active and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and at least three (3) years of post-licensure experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of counseling techniques, best practices in crisis intervention, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in making clinical decisions.

• Experience with group therapy facilitation and proven strategies for engaging students effectively in therapeutic settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and mental health documentation standards.
• Background in working within educational settings would be a significant asset.
