Responsibilities:
Safely operate a variety of tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment when necessary, ensuring secure handling of goods.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Navigate assigned routes effectively, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on highways and local roads.
Manage documentation accurately for each shipment, including delivery receipts and load manifests.
Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold safety protocols at all times during loading, unloading, and transit.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., refrigerated trailer, tanker).
Proven two years' experience in CDL-A truck driving, including route driving or delivery operations
Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
Ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients effectively.
