Successful candidates will possess strong project management skills, a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and fire protection systems, and a desire to lead projects, interface with clients, and mentor and develop entry level consultants. If you are looking for continued professional development with an integrated team focused on driving results, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

  • Perform contract review with assistance from Senior Project Managers, or other technical leaders; including bill and invoice review and Accounts Receivable follow up.
  • Mentor and train Consultants supporting project work.
  • Work with project development and construction management teams to understand project milestones, delivery schedule, and commissioning plans. Assist in the identification of potential hurdles and help rationalize strategies to achieve said goals based on life safety system readiness and expectations of city officials.
  • Perform witness testing/retesting of select fire/life safety systems.
  • Work with construction site personnel to both develop and help ensure that the project's Construction Fire Prevention Program is both relevant given changing site conditions and is being implemented effectively.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders including owners, OPMs architects/engineers, contractors, and subcontractors in connection with field issues; includes investigating and resolving such issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, safety or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience. A degree in Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) is preferred but not required.

  • Prior project management experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant fire and life safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership skills, a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated, and team oriented.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high pressure, deadline driven situations and deal with changes.
  • Proactive communication and time management skills.
  • Professional Engineering licensure is preferred.
