Location: Capital Region, New York (Local Candidates Only)

Compensation: Hourly rate $35-$40/hour, and bonus structure available.

As our company continues to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales and growth efforts throughout New York's Capital Region and beyond.

Position SummaryThis is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for an experienced business development professional with an established network and a proven history of generating new business. The ideal candidate is comfortable walking into a room of business owners, nonprofit executives, or community leaders and building meaningful relationships that lead to long-term partnerships.
You will serve as the face of Capital CFO+ in the community, representing our company at networking events, conferences, and chamber functions while developing opportunities across all of our service lines.

This position offers significant earning potential through an hourly rate combined with a bonus structure. 
Accountability & Performance Expectations
This role operates within a structured accountability framework with clearly defined sales goals, performance expectations, and regular progress reviews. Candidates should be comfortable working in an accountability-driven environment that emphasizes measurable objectives, consistent follow-through, and personal ownership of performance and results. 
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on sustainable revenue growth.
  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate new client relationships throughout the Capital Region and surrounding markets.
  • Build relationships with business leaders, nonprofit executives, board members, and referral partners.
  • Attend networking events, chamber meetings, conferences, and community events as a representative of Capital CFO+.
  • Schedule and conduct introductory meetings with prospective clients.
  • Present Capital CFO+'s Accounting, Human Resources, and Marketing services to prospective clients.
  • Develop strategic referral partnerships with complementary service providers.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop proposals and transition new clients into service.
  • Meet monthly business development activity and revenue goals.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful business development or business-to-business sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing revenue and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Experience selling professional services, consulting, or similar business solutions is strongly preferred.
  • An existing network within New York's Capital Region business community is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Strong organizational and CRM management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Must reside within New York's Capital Region.
