Job Description

Subject: SQL Server DBA (w/solid Oracle experience)
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Duration: 4-6 months (Possible extension)

Qualifications

Main responsibilities:
A huge plus is someone with strong Oracle experience and also as a plus with RAC and/or Golden Gate experience.
Create, enhance, maintain and verify database system documentation;
Provide database support from design to implementation as subject matter expert;
Develop and implement database standards and methodologies
Monitor database performance and research, perform and recommend upgrades/improvements when required.
Analyze the database architecture to ensure optimum efficiencies;
Prepare and implement disaster recovery processes and procedures; Participate in disaster recovery exercise;
Plan, research, execute and recommend data conversions and deployments;
Remain subject matter expert in database field of knowledge.
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
8 years' experience of database design, development, testing, and administration of databases, such as MS SQL, Oracle and others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to understand end-user needs.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and identify those areas that are unusual or unexpected while making recommendations of how to fix potential database issues.
Ability to work with complex information systems and Debug systems as needed.
