Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Consultant – VBCS, OIC, APEX & Payroll
Location: 100% Remote – Must work CST hours
Employment Type: Long-Term Engagement

Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Consultant with strong experience in Oracle VBCS, OIC, Oracle APEX, Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, Redwood and HCM integrations. This is primarily a technical role; however, the consultant must possess solid functional knowledge of Oracle HCM processes, particularly Payroll, OTL, ORC and Journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support custom Oracle VBCS pages and applications integrated with Oracle HCM Cloud using REST APIs and Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Build and customize Redwood pages and user experiences using VBCS, Oracle HCM APIs and supported extension frameworks.
  • Design and develop Oracle APEX applications, operational reports, dashboards and data-validation tools supporting HCM business processes.
  • Develop and troubleshoot Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL processes, BI Publisher reports, OTBI analyses and inbound/outbound integrations.
  • Design, develop and support OIC integrations between Oracle HCM and external payroll, timekeeping, recruiting, benefits and other third-party applications.
  • Support Oracle HCM Payroll processes, including payroll calculation cards, element entries, payroll flow patterns, payroll processing, costing, retroactive pay and payroll validations.
  • Assist Payroll users with biweekly payroll runs, issue resolution, reconciliation, error correction and post-payroll processing.
  • Support Oracle Time and Labor, including time-card processing, approval workflows, payroll integration and troubleshooting time-transfer errors.
  • Develop and support technical solutions across Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Journeys, Payroll, OTL and Core HR.
  • Work directly with functional consultants, HRIS stakeholders and business users to conduct discovery sessions, document requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across VBCS, Redwood, OIC, APEX, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, REST APIs and HCM business processes.
  • Participate in CRP, SIT, UAT, quarterly-release testing, production deployment and post-go-live support.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Oracle HCM or Oracle ERP technical consulting experience.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Oracle VBCS, including custom pages, business objects, service connections, REST integrations and application deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, including custom applications, reports, interactive grids and dashboards.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, REST/SOAP APIs and Oracle HCM integrations.
  • Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL, OTBI and BI Publisher reports.
  • Experience customizing and extending Oracle HCM Redwood pages.
  • Solid functional understanding of Oracle HCM Payroll, including calculation cards, payroll flow patterns, payroll runs, costing, retro pay and payroll troubleshooting.
  • Experience across Oracle Payroll, OTL, ORC, Journeys and Core HR.
  • Ability to work directly with Payroll users, HRIS stakeholders and functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
  • Must be available to work during Central Standard Time business hours.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
