Position Overview:

Driscoll’s is seeking an experienced Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS/RMFCS) Testing Lead to lead end-to-end quality assurance and testing activities for Oracle Retail merchandising solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail MFCS/RMFCS, retail business processes, integration testing, data validation, regression testing, defect management, and test leadership. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, developers, integration teams, and offshore/onshore QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery across Oracle Retail implementations and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall QA/testing strategy and execution for Oracle Retail MFCS/RMFCS implementations, enhancements, integrations, and releases.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices.
  • Lead SIT, system integration testing, functional testing, regression testing, end-to-end testing, and UAT support.
  • Validate critical Oracle Retail business processes including:
    • Item and foundation data management
    • Supplier and location management
    • Purchase orders
    • Cost and deal management
    • Inventory management
    • Stock ledger
    • Replenishment
    • Sales Audit
    • Trade Management/import processes
    • Financial and downstream integrations
  • Lead testing of integrations between MFCS and external systems such as POS, WMS, ERP/financial systems, supply chain applications, and other retail platforms.
  • Perform and/or coordinate API, file-based, batch, database, and data validation testing.
  • Validate inbound and outbound interfaces, transformation logic, file layouts, data mappings, and error handling.
  • Develop SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with technical/functional teams to resolve defects.
  • Manage defect lifecycle using tools such as Jira, ALM, or equivalent.
  • Establish testing metrics, dashboards, quality KPIs, defect trends, and readiness reports.
  • Coordinate testing activities across onshore/offshore QA teams.
  • Review requirements and functional specifications to identify gaps and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Drive defect triage meetings and communicate testing status, risks, dependencies, and issues to project leadership.
  • Support data conversion/migration validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Support regression testing associated with Oracle Retail cloud releases and application changes.
  • Coordinate UAT preparation, business-user support, defect resolution, and production readiness.
  • Mentor QA analysts and establish consistent testing standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business users and retail SMEs to ensure test scenarios accurately represent real-world merchandising processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of overall QA/testing experience, preferably in retail technology.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Retail experience, with strong expertise in MFCS/RMFCS.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Retail merchandising business processes.
  • Experience leading QA/testing teams for large-scale Oracle Retail implementations.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SIT
    • UAT
    • Functional testing
    • Integration testing
    • Regression testing
    • End-to-end testing
    • Data validation/reconciliation

  • Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.

  • Provide daily/weekly testing status to project leadership.
  • Escalate critical risks and blockers proactively.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for business-critical processes and integrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and automation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Oracle Retail QA/Test Lead who combines deep MFCS/RMFCS functional knowledge with strong testing leadership, SQL/data validation, integration testing, and stakeholder-management skills.
