Job description

Remote - Oracle EBS Developer – WMS, Order Management, Inventory and Pricing
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders preferred, all valid work authorizations may apply
Employment Type: W2

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Technical Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Warehouse Management System functionality. This role will provide technical production support and deliver new development across Oracle WMS, Order Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, Advanced Pricing, Purchasing, and related supply-chain processes.

The ideal candidate must have a sound understanding of end-to-end warehouse operations and be capable of translating warehouse, logistics, inventory, pricing, shipping, and order-fulfillment requirements into scalable Oracle EBS solutions. The position requires strong Oracle technical-development skills, experience with inbound and outbound integrations, and the ability to troubleshoot highly customized production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for production Oracle EBS WMS applications, including incident triage, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, defect resolution, performance analysis, and production stabilization.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for issues involving WMS, Order Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, Advanced Pricing, Purchasing, receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and related integrations.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new WMS functionality and application enhancements for warehouse, logistics, inventory, and order-fulfillment operations.
  • Work directly with warehouse and business users to understand operational issues, gather requirements, reproduce defects, recommend solutions, and validate fixes.
  • Analyze existing Oracle EBS customizations and business processes and recommend standard Oracle functionality where practical while supporting required custom development.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, interfaces, conversion programs, APIs, reports, concurrent programs, workflows, alerts, and other Oracle EBS extensions.
  • Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations involving orders, inventory transactions, item information, receipts, deliveries, shipments, carrier updates, tracking information, ASNs, and shipping confirmations.
  • Integrate Oracle EBS WMS with external applications, including carrier systems, third-party logistics providers, warehouse automation platforms, robotics solutions, EDI platforms, and other logistics systems.
  • Develop and support REST and SOAP web services, Oracle APIs, XML and JSON messages, EDI transactions, database interfaces, and file-based integrations.
  • Support WMS mobile and scanning functionality, including mobile pages, barcode scanning, labels, task execution, material movement, picking, packing, staging, and shipping transactions.
  • Develop and support shipping-label integrations, carrier selection and routing, rate-shopping processes, shipment tendering, shipment confirmation, tracking updates, and freight-related interfaces.
  • Support integrations with UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, parcel systems, transportation platforms, and external shipping applications.
  • Develop and support warehouse automation and autonomous mobile robot integrations for task creation, inventory movement, picking, replenishment, staging, and transaction confirmation.
  • Support Order Management processes, including sales-order imports, order holds, scheduling, reservations, fulfillment, pick release, shipment confirmation, returns, and order-status updates.
  • Support Advanced Pricing configurations and related technical components, including price lists, modifiers, qualifiers, pricing attributes, discounts, surcharges, and customer-specific pricing.
  • Support Inventory processes involving item transactions, on-hand balances, reservations, locators, lot and serial controls, cycle counting, replenishment, transfers, material status, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Troubleshoot failures across Oracle EBS, custom programs, APIs, interfaces, workflows, concurrent requests, mobile transactions, middleware, databases, and external applications.
  • Analyze interface errors, transaction-manager failures, stuck records, invalid data, workflow exceptions, concurrent-program failures, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Develop reconciliation reports, exception reports, monitoring solutions, and automated notifications for critical warehouse and logistics integrations.
  • Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and optimize high-volume programs, interfaces, reports, and database queries.
  • Prepare technical design documents, source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, unit-test scripts, deployment instructions, support runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Perform unit testing and support system-integration testing, user-acceptance testing, regression testing, cutover, deployment, and post-production validation.
  • Follow established source-control, code-review, release-management, and Oracle application change-management procedures.
  • Coordinate with functional consultants, business users, integration teams, database administrators, infrastructure teams, third-party vendors, and offshore development resources.
  • Participate in production-support rotations and provide support during critical warehouse operations, releases, and peak business periods when required.
  • Analyze recurring production incidents and implement permanent improvements to application stability, integration reliability, system performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12 Warehouse Management System in a highly customized warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Sound functional knowledge of Oracle WMS processes, including receiving, put-away, task management, replenishment, material movement, picking, packing, staging, shipping, cycle counting, and inventory control.
  • Strong Oracle EBS technical-development experience using SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedures, interfaces, APIs, concurrent programs, workflows, and reports.
  • Experience with Oracle Order Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, and Advanced Pricing.
  • Experience supporting Oracle mobile warehouse and barcode-scanning functionality.
  • Experience developing and supporting Oracle EBS inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, web services, XML, JSON, file-based interfaces, EDI, or middleware technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex functional and technical issues in production environments.
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and distinguish application-configuration issues from data, customization, integration, database, performance, and external-system problems.
  • Experience supporting high-volume and business-critical warehouse or distribution operations.
  • Strong documentation, testing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with onsite, offshore, and global delivery teams.
