Job description

Job Title: Oracle EBS R12 O2C Functional Consultant – Order Management & Advanced Pricing
Location: Remote – Must work Eastern Time Zone hours
Employment Type: W2

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite R12 O2C Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Order Management and Advanced Pricing. This position supports a global rollout involving the implementation of new Operating Units for a large manufacturing and distribution organization operating across approximately 120 countries.

The consultant will lead discovery sessions, analyze business requirements, design solutions, configure Oracle EBS R12, prepare functional design documents, and lead CRP, SIT, UAT, cutover, and post-production support activities.

This is an Oracle EBS R12 position—not an Oracle Fusion Cloud role. The primary focus is Order Management and Advanced Pricing, including ATO, CTO, GOP, and complex global order-to-cash processes. ASCP experience is preferred but not mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the functional implementation and global rollout of new Oracle EBS R12 Operating Units.
  • Conduct discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with business users, global process owners, manufacturing teams, distribution teams, customer service teams, finance teams, and integration partners.
  • Analyze existing O2C business processes and design scalable solutions for operations across approximately 120 countries.
  • Configure and implement Oracle EBS R12 Order Management and Advanced Pricing functionality.
  • Configure new Operating Units, including applicable Order Management parameters, transaction types, document sequences, shipping parameters, pricing setups, defaulting rules, processing constraints, and related responsibilities.
  • Design and configure end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes covering order entry, booking, scheduling, sourcing, pricing, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, returns, and order closure.
  • Design solutions for Assemble-to-Order and Configure-to-Order business processes.
  • Support configured-item, model, option-class, option-item, bill-of-material, routing, sourcing, and order-fulfillment requirements.
  • Configure and support Global Order Promising functionality, including sourcing rules, assignment sets, ATP rules, calendars, lead times, and supply-demand availability.
  • Design and implement Advanced Pricing solutions, including price lists, modifiers, qualifiers, pricing attributes, formulas, freight and special charges, discounts, surcharges, promotions, and pricing agreements.
  • Design pricing solutions for different countries, customers, customer classes, items, product hierarchies, currencies, sales channels, and business units.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot pricing-engine behavior, modifier incompatibility, qualifier precedence, pricing phases, bucket calculations, and incorrect price derivation.
  • Define and document order-processing rules, defaulting logic, booking validations, holds, approvals, credit-check requirements, processing constraints, and workflow requirements.
  • Design and support sales order returns, RMA, cancellations, backorders, drop shipments, internal orders, and related exception processes.
  • Work with upstream applications that provide customer, item, pricing, configuration, forecast, demand, and order data.
  • Work with downstream applications supporting manufacturing, warehouse operations, shipping, logistics, invoicing, taxation, finance, reporting, and customer communication.
  • Define interface requirements and data mappings between Oracle EBS and third-party applications.
  • Prepare MD050 functional design documents for custom reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
  • Work with technical consultants to prepare, review, and finalize MD070 technical design documents.
  • Lead the design and delivery of custom RICEW objects supporting Order Management, Advanced Pricing, ATO, CTO, GOP, manufacturing, and distribution requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, data mappings, validation rules, interface logic, exception handling, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Review technical designs and ensure that custom solutions align with Oracle EBS R12 architecture and standard functionality.
  • Provide functional guidance and mentorship to Oracle EBS technical developers throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Review and validate SQL queries, interface tables, APIs, concurrent programs, workflows, extensions, reports, and data-conversion programs developed by technical teams.
  • Lead Conference Room Pilot sessions and demonstrate configured solutions to business stakeholders.
  • Prepare functional test scenarios, test scripts, expected results, and requirement-traceability documentation.
  • Lead System Integration Testing and coordinate testing across upstream and downstream applications.
  • Support and lead User Acceptance Testing, including defect triage, root-cause analysis, solution validation, and business sign-off.
  • Coordinate with business, technical, infrastructure, data, security, and integration teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Develop production cutover plans covering setup migration, master-data conversion, open-order conversion, pricing-data migration, interface activation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Participate in mock cutovers and validate cutover timing, dependencies, sequencing, resource assignments, and rollback procedures.
  • Support production deployment, cutover execution, post-go-live stabilization, and hypercare.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across Order Management, Advanced Pricing, ATO, CTO, GOP, Shipping, Inventory, Receivables, and related custom integrations.
  • Prepare configuration documents, functional design documents, process-flow documentation, setup workbooks, test scripts, cutover plans, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Strong expertise in Oracle Order Management.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing and distribution clients.
  • Experience configuring complex price lists, modifiers, qualifiers, formulas, pricing attributes, agreements, discounts, and surcharges.
  • Experience with order orchestration, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, returns, and order closure.
  • Experience leading discovery, solution-design, CRP, SIT, UAT, cutover, and post-go-live support activities.
  • Experience preparing MD050 functional design documents and reviewing MD070 technical design documents.
  • Experience leading custom RICEW development and working closely with technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of upstream and downstream application integrations.
