About the Role:

As an Ophthalmology EMR Template Specialist you'll play a crucial role in optimizing electronic medical records for our ophthalmology clients. Join our dynamic team in Las Vegas, NV, and help enhance patient care through innovative EMR solutions.

Responsibilities:

Review current ophthalmology documentation workflows.

Create standardized procedure templates for ophthalmology.

Develop Risks, Benefits, and Alternatives (R/B/A) language for common procedures.

Create assessment and plan templates for cataract, YAG, pterygium, chalazion, eyelid lesions, dry eye procedures, and injections.

Include documentation prompts to support coding and compliance.

Organize templates in a format that can be implemented in Nextech Practice+

Work directly with doctor and administrator to customize templates.

Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in ophthalmology and EMR systems.

Requirements:

Experience working in an ophthalmology coding and documentation.

Strong understanding of ophthalmology workflows and documentation needs.

Knowledge of cataract surgery, cornea, and dry eye documentation.

Experience creating EMR templates preferred.

Knowledge of Nextech EMR is a plus but not required.

CPC, COE, COMT, or equivalent credentials preferred.

Certification in health information management is a plus.

Positive demeanor with a passion for improving patient care through technology.
