Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center seeks a compassionate and proficient Clinical Mental Health Therapist specializing in mood disorders. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while still providing high-quality outpatient services. Work Environment

This position operates in a remote outpatient office structure, enabling our Clinical Mental Health Therapists to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes or preferred environments. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional evening and weekend hours during rotatory shifts to accommodate client needs. This flexibility allows you to engage deeply with clients while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients. This includes gathering information through interviews, questionnaires, and observation.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to enhance each client's wellbeing.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions, adhering to ethical and professional standards while ensuring a high level of care and support.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them on their recovery journey.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, making modifications to treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving goals and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations to stay aligned with the most current research and therapeutic strategies in mood disorder treatment.
  • Document client interactions and treatment progress meticulously, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Advocate for the destigmatization of mood disorders, facilitating community dialogue to support clients in addressing their mental health needs confidently.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, with a focus on individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Your expertise will help guide them through their recovery process, equipping them with coping skills and therapeutic tools to manage their symptoms effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health, with a strong focus on mood disorders.
  • Demonstrable expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists for integrated patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong therapeutic alliances with clients from varying backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with teletherapy platforms would be advantageous.
  • Prior involvement in case management or interdisciplinary team collaborations is preferred.
