We are currently seeking a OneShield Technical Consultant - Fully Remote (FTE) to join our team in Remote, Pennsylvania (US-PA), United States (US).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • We are seeking an experienced Consultant in OneShield Policy Administration platform to lead Application Management Services (AMS) for a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environment. 
  • The role is responsible for providing technical leadership for production support, application maintenance, and enhancement initiatives while ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the OneShield Policy Administration System.
  • The Technical Lead will manage production incidents, lead defect resolution and application enhancements, perform code reviews, mentor development teams and coordinate with business stakeholders and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong OneShield, Java, and P&C insurance domain experience, with a proven ability to lead technical teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the onsite Technical Lead for the OneShield Policy Administration System (PAS).Lead day-to-day production support activities, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and production issues while meeting SLA commitments.
  • Analyze production defects, perform root cause analysis, coordinate fixes, and implement preventive measures to improve application stability.
  • Design, develop, configure, and implement enhancements to the existing OneShield Policy Administration application based on business requirements.
  • Lead the development and customization of OneShield components, including Workflow Configuration, Business Rules, Rating, Data Modeling, DAP,UI, and Transformations.
  • Oversee technical design, development, unit testing, integration testing, code deployment, and production release support.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to onsite and offshore development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, product owners, QA teams, and architects to analyze requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Support application upgrades, patch implementations, environment management, and release deployments.
  • Monitor application performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend continuous improvements. Ensure proper documentation of technical designs, production issues, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, design discussions, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OneShield with internal and external systems using APIs and web services.
  • Support production release planning, deployment validation, post-production verification, and hypercare activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, support efficiency, and development quality.
  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end application releases across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, working closely with development, QA, infrastructure, DevOps, release management, and business teams to ensure successful deployments with minimal business impact.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 8+ years of hands-on experience on the OneShield platform.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OneShield Designer, OneShield Policy Administration, and OneShield Core 6.x or higher.
  • Proven experience in production support, application maintenance, enhancements, and release management for OneShield applications.
  • Strong experience in Workflow Configuration, Business Rules, Rating, Data Modeling, DAP, AJAX, UI Development, and Transformations. Experience customizing and enhancing OneShield Policy Administration functionality to support business processes.
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance policy lifecycle, including New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, Rewrites, and Cancellations.
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, and Microservices. Strong SQL experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server, including performance tuning and data analysis.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading development teams, performing code reviews, and ensuring adherence to development standards.
  • Hands-on experience with the OneShield Object Model, including designing and extending business objects, along with strong experience in OneShield MD application development and the Designer deployment process for promoting configuration changes across environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading onsite-offshore delivery models for AMS engagements.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise OneShield Policy Administration implementations. Knowledge of OneShield platform upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating OneShield with third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, middleware, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps automation.
  • Familiarity with production support processes, incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Experience in production monitoring, release governance, and operational excellence.
  • Relevant OneShield certifications or insurance domain certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working directly with business users, product owners, and client stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $106,480.00 to $159,720.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
