Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Medical Planner to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for optimization healthcare logistics activities ranging from planning, analysis and support to large hospitals to small, remote clinics within the PACOM area of responsibility. You will assess needs, analyze movement requirements and assist in developing operational plans to ensure efficient patient movement and high-quality care

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct needs assessments and workflow analyses for both large-scale medical facilities and small, remote clinics within the Indo-Pacific region
  • Develop space programs, facility layouts, and operational plans that optimize patient movement, safety, and care delivery in varied environments
  • Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in both urban and remote settings
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (eg, FGI, Joint Commission, ADA), including those specific to remote operations and the Indo-Pacific region
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement for both large and small projects
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare facility planning and analytics, especially as they pertain to the Indo-Pacific region
  • Analyze demand, selects carriers and modes, develops routing plans, and monitors execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives in complex and often austere environments
  • Coordinate daily and long-range transportation requirements to support patient movement
  • Monitor transportation activities in real time, adjusting plans to address delays, disruptions, or changing mission priorities
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports; recommend corrective actions and process enhancements
  • Conduct route and mode optimization studies to support proposal efforts, cost reductions, and service improvements
  • Identify transportation risks (security, schedule, regulatory, environmental) and support mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with internal and external stakeholders regarding requirements, constraints, and statuses

Required Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, or related field is required, Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare planning, analysis, or a related discipline
  • Previous relevant experience in the Indo-Pacific region, including knowledge of regional healthcare infrastructure, logistical challenges, and cultural considerations
  • Must have a current/active secret level or higher clearance as required
  • US citizenship may be required due to contract and security requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (eg, Excel, Tableau, SPSS)

Desired Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to both large-scale and remote facility environments
  • Equivalent military or industry experience may be considered
  • Experience with simulation modeling or process improvement methodologies (eg, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Certification in healthcare planning or project management (eg, ACHA, PMP) is preferred
  • Knowledge of emergency, disaster, or wilderness medicine protocols
  • Experience working in both large-scale and remote, isolated environments, particularly within the Indo-Pacific region
  • Willingness to work extended hours, shift work, or on-call support during surge or contingency operations
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to austere or high-risk locations, as mission requirements dictate
  • Experience supporting DoW/DoD, federal agencies, or large program operations (deployment, sustainment, base operations, or contingency support)
  • Familiarity with defense logistics systems and processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple movements and priorities simultaneously
  • Effective written and verbal communication; able to convey complex transportation plans to non-specialists
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing mission requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams, including military, civilian, and international partners
  • A desire to contribute directly to mission-critical operations that support US national security and international partners
  • Ability to work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment with opportunities to influence logistics strategy and innovation
