• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain active communication with supervisors, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and collaborative care adjustments.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, including necessary home visits to foster therapeutic relationships and monitor progress effectively.
• Implement and oversee the prescribed therapeutic programs, ensuring adherence and effectiveness in achieving established goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment progress and share insights that can enhance client outcomes.
• Complete detailed progress notes and documentation, ensuring accurate records of client interactions and treatment modifications.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Advocate Aurora, you will be working with a wide variety of patient demographics, including both adults and youth. Your role will involve addressing a range of mental health challenges, from ongoing anxiety and depression to trauma recovery and substance misuse issues. • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant mental health field is required.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical context, is mandatory.
