Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Hope Recovers Behavioral Healthcare Center. In this full-time, remote role, you will play a crucial part in addressing the mental health needs of adolescents and young adults by providing therapeutic care and support from the comfort of their homes. You will conduct assessments, facilitate therapy sessions, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing you the flexibility to create a personalized work environment that fosters productivity and comfort. Our clinicians prioritize their therapy practice without the burden of administrative tasks, as our dedicated Operations team manages the logistical aspects of care. You will have access to comprehensive technology systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms, which enable effective communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual assessments and screenings to thoroughly evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use histories.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with our treatment team to ensure an integrated approach to client care, synthesizing insights from multi-disciplinary perspectives.
  • Educate and involve clients’ families in the therapeutic process, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment plans accurately in accordance with health regulations to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
  • Engage in ongoing staff training sessions to stay informed about new methodologies and practices within our care pathways.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be supporting adolescents and young adults navigating various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The aim is to create a safe, trusting environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
  • Active state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LICSW, or PsyD.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide telehealth services, especially geared toward adolescents and young adults.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and software, particularly EHRs and Google Suite, to effectively navigate client management systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity with colleagues and clients.
  • Presentation should be professional and approachable at all times to foster trust.
  • Empathy and the ability to engage warmly with clients, creating a safe therapeutic space.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability and readiness to work from home with reliable internet and a private space sufficient for maintaining client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a telehealth setting, effectively managing virtual therapy sessions.
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by the youth demographic regarding mental health.
  • Previous involvement in team-based care models that emphasize collaboration and integrated treatment approaches.
