Spara's organization is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support a broad range of effectors programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full product lifecyclefrom concept development to final deploymentcontributing to some of the most advanced defense systems in the world.

As part of our team, you'll engage with cross-disciplinary teams, apply rigorous systems engineering practices, and ensure our systems meet their mission requirementson time and the first time. This is a highly collaborative, impact-driven position.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead Test Campaigns: Plan, execute, and document system-level integration and verification activities in lab and field environments.

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Analyze system performance, debug issues across hardware and software interfaces, and recommend/implement solutions.

  • Integrate Complex Systems: Perform end-to-end integration of hardware and software into tactical platforms and assess system-level functionality and performance.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including systems, software, hardware, and test engineers to ensure seamless system functionality.

  • Document and Communicate: Generate test documentation, analyze results, verify system requirements, and clearly communicate technical findings to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Perform Advanced Data Analysis: Use statistical tools and methods to assess test data, identify trends, and confirm system requirements are met.

  • Present Results: Communicate findings, risks, and solutions to engineering leadership, customers, and program stakeholders.

  • Support Test Missions: Travel as needed to support system integration, test events, and mission execution at Raytheon facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Direct experience with systems engineering disciplines, including systems requirements, software/hardware integration, and system-level testing.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving cross-domain system issues.

  • Active and transferable U.S. Secret security clearance required prior to start date.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required (clearance eligibility requirement).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required.
