Description
The Mobile System Operator for the OSP Digital Twin Division is responsible for managing, operating, and monitoring mobile mapping sensor equipment during data collection operations. We are ideally looking for candidates located in either Jacksonville, FL or Phoenix, AZ but are open to other locations. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions:
    • Adhere to strict safety standards and enforce consistent data collection procedures.
    • Safely drive standard pick-up or sport-utility (SUV) vehicle in urban, rural, and unfamiliar environments.
    • Safely operate sUAS equipment as a remote-pilot-in-control (RPIC) in urban, rural, and unfamiliar environments.
    • Mount, configure, operate, and monitor mobile mapping system, 360ยฐ panoramic camera, GPS equipment, and related system hardware supporting daily data collection operations.
    • Download, organize, and post-process raw sensor data; digitally transfer or physically ship project source data sets (ex. point cloud, imagery, GPS, etc.) to data processing center for the production of project data deliverables.
    • Record and maintain daily operations log, prepare activity/incident reports, pre-flight checklists, job safety analysis reports and other required paperwork following daily data collection operations.
    • Perform quality control activities of system (source) data streams; provide feedback to data processing center.
    • Troubleshoot mobile mapping system issues, errors, and data inconsistencies; coordinate solutions and system fixes with in-house technical staff and/or hardware vendor's technical support team.
    • Assist in the removal, repair, and installation of the mobile mapping system on data collection vehicles.
    • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or similar discipline preferred.
    • Background with field surveying or mapping operations preferred.
    • Experience using GIS software and/or online mapping applications to support vehicle navigation and route planning activities.
    • Familiarity with geospatial data, GPS hardware, and related software applications.
    • Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS or AutoCAD.
    • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
    • Solid time management skills, ability to multi-task, and optimize daily data collection operations.
    • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work well with team members and contribute to successful project objectives.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
    • Ability to assess local weather conditions for planning and execution of daily data capture operations.
    • Must hold valid US driver's license with clean driving history.
    • Must hold a valid and current FAA 14 CFR Part 107 License (Remote pilot certification)
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
