Project Description

This position supports enterprise application modernization efforts for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The role leads Agile DevSecOps teams responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining secure, cloud-native enterprise applications within AWS environments.

The environment includes microservices-based architectures, modern Java frameworks, containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-scale cloud platforms supporting mission-critical federal operations.

The core challenge: leading engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing software solutions while driving technical excellence, modernization, and continuous delivery across the software development lifecycle.


Position Description

As a Lead Developer / Senior Developer (Operations Lead) at Revolutional, you will provide technical leadership for an Agile DevSecOps team responsible for delivering enterprise software solutions supporting DHS USCIS. You will lead architectural discussions, mentor developers, establish engineering best practices, and ensure successful delivery of secure, cloud-native applications.

This role requires an experienced technical leader who can balance software architecture, hands-on development, DevSecOps practices, and team leadership while maintaining high engineering standards and operational excellence. You will contribute beyond software development by improving engineering processes, mentoring team members, and driving modernization initiatives across the program.


Responsibilities
  • Lead a fast-paced Agile DevSecOps team through all phases of software development
  • Lead software architecture and technical design discussions
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to develop scalable enterprise solutions
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise software applications
  • Provide full stack development support across frontend user interfaces, REST APIs, and backend data access layers
  • Ensure software successfully progresses through CI/CD build, security, testing, and deployment pipelines
