About the role:
The Red Hat North American Financial Services Industry Sales team is looking for an App Platform Specialist Solutions Architect to join us. In this position, you will be the frontline catalyst, creating possibilities, solving problems, and building working relationships with customers. You will play an important role in providing deep technical sales support for the pre-sales work related to the App Platform capabilities of OpenShift and the Red Hat Application Services Portfolio.
You will be responsible for articulating how organizations can use the platform to their advantage in their pursuit of developer productivity, as well as building and securely delivering cloud-native and traditional applications.
Along with articulating the platform's value, you will bring deep technical expertise to design, implement, and deliver a path-to-production solution that enables customers to see OpenShift as part of a proven solution that meets their needs today and into the future.
You will be helping our customers invest wisely in an application platform that provides maximum flexibility, enabling them to run faster and more efficiently while delivering the best TCO in the industry. It would require a balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and an ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you will need excellent communication and people skills because you will play a crucial role in the first in-depth experience our customers have with OpenShift as an Application Platform and Application Services.
What you will do:
  • Supports the account team in gaining the Technical Win as the Subject Matter Expert for OpenShift and AppServices.
  • Responsible for scoping and delivering deep dive presentations, custom demos, workshops, and POCs, as well as answering product questions for written proposals such as Request for Proposals.
  • Provides deep product and solutions expertise as well as pre-sales assistance with OpenShift and Application Services.
  • Assists in technical strategy approaches for large/strategic opportunities
  • Serves as technical liaison to their respective Product BUs
  • Helps develop and maintain reusable technical sales assets
  • Becomes a trusted adviser within Red Hat's customer base; builds solid, lasting relationships with customers, ideally in the Financial Services and Insurance Industries space
  • Provides presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex solutions
  • Engages with product teams to understand and influence technical roadmaps & recommended practices.
  • Engages with partner ecosystems to strengthen the customer value proposition

What you will bring:
  • Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent in supporting enterprise accounts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and then effectively explain how a Red Hat solution will address identified challenges, requirements, and business opportunities
  • Deep knowledge of OpenShift & Application Services products or strong familiarity with Red Hat-related products
  • Familiarity with Developer Productivity tooling, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tooling, and Platform Engineering concepts
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions

The salary range for this position is $181,090.00 - $289,630.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
