Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews, effectively documenting clients' journeys from consultation to successful treatment completion.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health by utilizing structured assessments and clinical judgment to inform evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on their specific psychological needs.
  • Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, creating a therapeutic environment that encourages open communication and healing.
  • Monitor ongoing progress throughout treatment and adjust plans as necessary based on clients' evolving needs and circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with a particular emphasis on AVATAR or similar platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
