• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews, effectively documenting clients' journeys from consultation to successful treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health by utilizing structured assessments and clinical judgment to inform evidence-based treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on their specific psychological needs.
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, creating a therapeutic environment that encourages open communication and healing.
• Monitor ongoing progress throughout treatment and adjust plans as necessary based on clients' evolving needs and circumstances.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers, to formulate comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up for clients admitted to inpatient facilities by maintaining communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians.
• Identify and address any barriers to recovery, proactively working with clients and their families to promote positive therapeutic outcomes.

Our client base is diverse, encompassing various age ranges, socio-economic backgrounds, and presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Uplifted Horizon, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families grappling with these challenges, guiding them towards healthier mental well-being and emotional resilience.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with a particular emphasis on AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Experience addressing physical health conditions and the interplay with behavioral health, substance use disorders, and other addictions.
• Insight into the pharmacological aspects of clients’ treatment, particularly concerning medications prescribed by other health care providers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on creating client-centered documentation.
• A deep understanding of therapeutic modalities and an aptitude for incorporating new evidence-based practices into counseling sessions.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
