What are remote open interviews?

Remote open interviews are virtual hiring events where job candidates can join an online meeting or platform at specified times to meet with employers or recruiters. Unlike scheduled interviews, these are typically open to anyone interested, allowing multiple candidates to participate without a prior appointment. They provide a convenient and efficient way for both employers and job seekers to connect, especially for remote or work-from-home positions. Participants may be interviewed in group sessions or individually, and the process often includes an overview of available roles, company information, and a Q&A session.

What are some common challenges candidates face during remote open interviews, and how can they best prepare?

Candidates often find remote open interviews challenging due to technical issues, unfamiliarity with virtual platforms, and the need to stand out in a group setting. To prepare, it's important to test your technology (camera, microphone, internet connection) ahead of time, practice clear and concise self-introductions, and be ready to engage actively even when others are present. Additionally, setting up a quiet, distraction-free environment and researching the company beforehand can help you make a strong impression.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote open interviews, and why are they important?

To succeed in Remote Open Interviews, you need strong communication skills, a professional online presence, and relevant qualifications or experience for the target position. Familiarity with video conferencing platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams, as well as proficiency in submitting digital applications and portfolios, is essential. Adaptability, self-motivation, and the ability to engage confidently in virtual settings are key soft skills that set candidates apart. These abilities ensure you can effectively showcase your qualifications, make a positive impression, and navigate the unique challenges of remote hiring processes.

Job description

Position Overview

Are you a compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) seeking a role where you can make a significant difference? At Savas Health, we are on a mission to redefine healthcare delivery through a collaborative, transdisciplinary approach. We are currently looking for a dedicated LMFT to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to the mental health and wellbeing of our patients. Our competitive salary range is between $120,000 and $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

About the Organization

Savas Health, intimately connected with the meaning of its name inspired by the Sanskrit word Seva, reflects our commitment to selfless service and compassionate care. Based in Oakland, California, we integrate the efforts of various healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, dietitians, acupuncturists, and massage therapists. Our goal is to enhance the patient experience while achieving the quadruple aim of healthcare: improving patient health, reducing costs, and ensuring employee satisfaction. By working in unity, our team addresses the complexities related to our diverse patient population.

Work Environment

This position will be primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment while still maintaining a high standard of care. You will engage with patients through virtual platforms, embodying the high-tech, yet human-centered approach that Savas Health advocates. We foster a culture of support, collaboration, and transparency, ensuring that you feel connected to your colleagues even from a distance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of patients' needs by utilizing a combination of structured interviews and direct behavioral observations to effectively gather valuable information.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans by synthesizing social, medical, and psychotherapeutic data, ensuring that interventionsโ€”such as therapy, psychoeducation, and crisis interventionโ€”are tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Set both short-term and long-term therapeutic goals collaboratively with patients, providing clear pathways to achieving these objectives.
  • Facilitate open discussions with patients regarding their feelings and behaviors, creating a safe environment for expression and exploration.
  • Design and implement treatment programs that address both acute and chronic pain, coordinating effectively with staff to direct supportive care.
  • Utilize a range of treatment modalities for mental health issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, and other challenges, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address potential psychosocial issues, providing integrated care that enhances treatment effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in the mental health field, ensuring that all practices are compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Uphold the values and vision of Savas Health, promoting a safe and clean work environment through adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the facility.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population at our community health clinic, addressing mental health issues for individuals facing life transitions, chronic illnesses, and relationship concerns. Our clients often come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, providing you with the opportunity to make impactful connections and provide support to those navigating challenges across many facets of their lives.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a current California LMFT license.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting focused on family and marriage therapy.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly preferred, enabling better communication with our diverse patient demographic.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary of $120,000 to $130,000 based on experience.
  • Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company match to help you save for retirement.
  • Flexible spending accounts to manage healthcare costs effectively.
  • Paid time off to recharge and maintain work-life balance.
  • Professional development assistance with opportunities for continuing education and training.
  • Employee assistance program to provide support for personal and professional challenges.
  • Work discounts at affiliated services.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Savas Health, we believe in fostering talent and supporting our employees in their professional journey. As an LMFT, you will have the chance to further develop your clinical skills through training and mentorship programs. Opportunities to take on leadership roles in training new staff or participating in program development may also arise, allowing you to take an active part in shaping the future of healthcare delivery in our clinic.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Savas Health means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that prioritizes compassionate care and innovative treatment methods. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment alongside healthcare professionals who are passionate about making a difference. Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while engaging in meaningful interactions with patients and shaping their mental health journey.
