Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting each step from initial consultation to treatment conclusion.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that strategies align with evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to express and work through their challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients through strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for documentation and care management.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical mental health counseling role, preferably with telehealth services.
