Mindsight Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team in delivering high-quality care through telehealth services. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting each step from initial consultation to treatment conclusion.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that strategies align with evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to express and work through their challenges.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, primary care providers, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Manage referrals effectively, ensuring that clients receive appropriate additional services when needed.
• Conduct follow-up communications with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges that arise within the broader family context.
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may impede clients' recovery, employing proactive strategies to enhance their journey towards mental wellness.

Our focus is on serving a diverse client population, including adults, adolescents, couples, and families facing a wide array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties. Counselors at Mindsight engage with clients from various backgrounds, making cultural competency and sensitivity essential for effectively addressing their unique needs.

• A minimum of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients through strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for documentation and care management.

• Previous experience in a clinical mental health counseling role, preferably with telehealth services.
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience working with addiction disorders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively document client interactions and communicate treatment plans.
• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medication effects and interactions as prescribed by medical specialists.
