Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments through structured interviews, ensuring that all relevant information is documented accurately from the outset through to treatment conclusion.
  • Evaluate clientsโ€™ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify their unique challenges and needs.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans that may include strategies for individuals, couples, families, or groups, tailored to each clientโ€™s specific circumstances and goals.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and foster a safe space for sharing and healing.
  • Regularly monitor and document clientsโ€™ progress throughout the therapeutic process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow mental health professionals, physicians, and social workers on case management to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain communication with psychiatrists regarding clients who require medication adjustments and additional support during their treatment journey.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current, valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is necessary for this position.
  • Proof of successful completion of required examinations, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • A minimum of years of experience working as a mental health counselor or during clinical internships.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is preferred to streamline documentation and enhance client care.
  • A strong understanding of co-occurring conditions related to physical and emotional health, including addiction disorders.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable about best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Extensive knowledge about the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists that could affect clientsโ€™ conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with clients and interdisciplinary teammates.

Compensation and Benefits
